CONCEPT

Inspired by my love of classic cowboy westerns, I aim to craft Deadrock as a fully realized, immersive town where audiences feel realism and humor. Through visible transitions, the buildings of my design bring the story from an outside perspective into a lively, joke-filled interior, blending nostalgia, spectacle, and theatrical fun.

I use saturated, vibrant colors to create smooth, playful transformations, incorporating comedic gadgets, ironic theater jokes, and whimsical details—including taxidermy animals—to allow both emotional and physical attachment to the space.

Crazy for You celebrates theatrical illusion and the transformative power of performance. Set during the Great Depression, the musical contrasts two worlds: the fast-paced glamour of New York and the dusty, forgotten town of Deadrock, Nevada.
